Individual Tax Returns

We prepare federal (Form 1040) and California (Form 540) income tax returns for individuals and families. Wages, self-employment income, rental property, investments and credits for children or education all go on the same return, and we review the whole picture with you before anything is filed.

What's included

  • Federal Form 1040 and California Form 540 (540NR for part-year or nonresidents)
  • W-2 wages, 1099 income and self-employment (Schedule C)
  • Rental property income and expenses (Schedule E)
  • Stock, crypto and property sales
  • Child, dependent care and education credits
  • Extensions, amended returns (Form 1040-X) and unfiled prior years

This is for you if

  • You want a CPA, not just software, to look over your return
  • Your situation changed: new job, marriage, a child, a home purchase or a move
  • You have income from more than one source, or income from Korea

Questions

When is the deadline for individual returns?

For most people, federal and California returns are due April 15. A federal extension (Form 4868) and California's automatic extension give you until October 15 to file, but not more time to pay. Disaster relief can change these dates.

Can you file returns for years I missed?

Yes. Bring whatever records you have for those years and we will tell you what else is needed.
